Heart Filled Reiki

At Heart Filled Reiki we teach and practice Reiki from a Japanese perspective as a spiritual art form using five pillars. The pillars consist of developing spiritual and mental focus through the Reiki precepts, meditations, hands on healing, mantras and symbols and Reiju/Initiations. There are many modalities to choose from when considering healing. Reiki is the first modality that I found where your own healing is as important or more important than the healing of others. You can best assist others in their healing if you are in a state of well being. Providing service and facilitating healing for others requires a certain level of clarity, balance and energy.  A regular, sustained Reiki practice provides all of this and so much more!

Benefits

The simplest way to describe Reiki’s healing benefit is that it balances and harmonizes you. Healing can take place on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level. Each of these levels will be affected by working energetically with Reiki. A change in one level will affect the functioning of another level. Physically, the body will respond where there is pain or illness. Mentally and emotionally, calm and quiet can be restored to our lives leaving us feeling balanced. Once we feel calm, our sense of spiritual connection and purpose in life is returned. From the energized place we begin to feel physically strong and the cycle continues.

What to Expect

A reiki treatment is approximately 60 minutes long and is used for healing or general relaxation. The practitioner rests her hands for a few moments on specific areas of the body, allowing the energy to pass through into the client. The client remains fully clothed at all times and may experience different bodily sensations. Some feel "electricity" passing through various limbs, tingling/warm sensations. Some smell scents, see visions, some feel as if they have reverted to the safety of the womb and some just fall asleep. Whatever you might feel, these are merely side effects of the healing process and it's best to enter treatment with no expectations.
